SANITARY PRODUCT INFORMATION

We provide a range of complimentary sanitary products for our members and their guests, these can be found in the ladies' facilities across the Clubhouse. Further information on the products and their ingredients can be found below:

 

TOTM Organic Pads (Medium)

Ingredients: organic cotton cover, organic cotton core, compostable biofilm backing, non-toxic adhesive. Each pad is wrapped in certified compostable bio-film and packed in a recycled cardboard box. Made without rayon, bamboo, fragrance, dyes, artificial absorbents, titanium dioxide and chlorine bleach.

TOTM Organic Applicator Tampons (Regular and Super)

Ingredients: Organic cotton core, organic cotton veil and an organic cotton string. With a cardboard applicator, paper wrappers and packed in a recycled cardboard box. Made without rayon, fragrance, dyes, artificial absorbents, titanium dioxide, glycerin, paraffin and chlorine bleach.

SAFETY WARNING

Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is a rare but serious illness caused by bacteria (mainly Staphylococcus aureus) that can multiply in a moist environment, such as with tampon use.

 

Symptoms of TSS:

- Sudden high fever (above 38.9°C).

- Rash resembling sunburn (often on palms and soles of feet).

- Dizziness, weakness, and low blood pressure.

- Vomiting, muscle aches, and headaches.

- Changes in behaviour, difficulty breathing.

 

To minimize the risk of TSS:

- Wash your hands before and after use.

- Change your tampon every 4-8 hours.

- Never use tampons overnight – always change them before going to bed.

- Use the lowest absorbency tampon required.

 

If you suspect TSS:

- Immediately remove the tampon and contact a healthcare provider or go to A&E.
