MEMBER EVENTS ADMINISTRATOR

DEPARTMENT: HOUSE EVENTS

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Member Events department is responsible for the members’ social events at the Club. These range in size from regular bridge matches, Halloween Trick or Treat trail and comedy nights through to dinner and lecture evenings and the annual Club ‘Big Four’ events: the Hurlingham Music Festival, Family Picnic, Fete Champêtre, and Guy Fawkes which can attract up to 5,000 members and guests. The department comprises four team members.

 

ROLE ARRANGMENTS

As Member Events Admin Assistant you will work an average of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Please note that the role requires some evening and weekend work for which time off in lieu will be given. The role reports to the Head of Member Events.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES WILL INCLUDE

• To provide admin support to the Member Events team and Member Experience & Events Executive.

• To assist Members Event Managers with the logistics of running events on occasion

• To provide administrative support to the Member Committees that fall under the remit of the Member Experience & Events Executive

Candidates will possess excellent customer services and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask across a number of concurrent duties and projects. The team work closely with committees made up of Club members and so the candidate should have the ability to communicate sensitively with a varied mix of individuals. A keen eye for attention to detail is required, and previous experience of providing admin support for a diverse events programme is desirable.
