EVENTS MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: FOOD & BEVERAGE 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Events Department is responsible for generating revenue for the Club, maximising the use of the Club’s events space and promoting the space internally and externally for events. The department is also responsible for managing events in the Club’s events space. Our versatile events venue host prestigious events in a fully adaptable Events Suite, ranging from meetings and conferences, to weddings and awards ceremonies and is available to accommodate up to 1,000 guests for a seated dinner.

 

ROLE ARRANGEMENTS

As Events Manager you will work an average of 40 hours per week, might include some evenings and weekends. This role reports to the Head of East Wing Events.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES WILL INCLUDE

• To plan and deliver all members, corporate and social events held at the Hurlingham Club.

• To anticipate and exceed all guests’ experiences in planning and delivering each event whilst ensuring the best return for the Club.

• To manage the administration of the events diary.

• To ensure the accurate organisation of events using in-house resources and outside suppliers.

 

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates will embody our Club values; excellence, prudence, integrity, courtesy. Candidates should have exceptional organisational skills and come with proven experience of managing concurrent events within similar establishments. Candidates must be IT literate with experience of bespoke IT systems, ideally Priava although this is not essential. Experience within high profile venues and dealing with high profile clients is desirable. Previous experience in Events Management essential. Previous experience in planning wedding desirable.
