JOJO DESMOND
Jojo Desmond is a professional singer, actress and dancer. Trained at The Hammond school in Chester and then The Central School of Ballet in
London. She has danced in Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake as a principal dancer in the West End, UK and European tours. She sang lead for the BBC’s Dr Who Live shows around the UK with a 16-piece band and is currently playing Frieda with Abba Mania UK.
She cut her teeth singing jazz and performs regularly in London venues and at private events. She can front pop, jazz and cabaret and performs with DJs and function bands. She supported 70s girl group The Three Degrees on their 2015-16 UK tours, with her debut album, Studio 54. She also produced, wrote and performed a one-woman show, titled The Marilyn Monroe Story, a cabaret documentary with song, dance, story and clever costume changes, debuting at The Edinburgh Festival’s Assembly Rooms in 2018.
